2. Data We Collect

When you use this website, we may collect:

  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent, device type (e.g. via server logs or analytics).
  • Data you provide: When you contact us (e.g. by email or WhatsApp), we process the information you give (name, contact details, message content) to respond and, where relevant, to perform a contract (e.g. workshop registration).
  • Cookies and local storage: We use a small amount of data stored in your browser (e.g. for a countdown timer or preferences) and, with your consent where required, marketing/analytics tools (see below).

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We use:

  • Strictly necessary / functional: e.g. a cookie or local storage value to remember the end date of a “registration closes in” countdown timer. This does not identify you personally.
  • Analytics / marketing (with consent where required): e.g. Facebook Pixel to measure visits and ad performance. You can control this via our cookie banner (if shown) or your browser and device settings.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some features (like the countdown) may then reset on each visit.

4. Facebook (Meta) Pixel

We may use Facebook Pixel on this site to understand how users interact with our pages and to measure and improve advertising. This can involve data such as your IP address, device information, and pages viewed being sent to Meta. Meta may use this in accordance with its own privacy policy. Where consent is required by law (e.g. in the EU/EEA), we will only activate such tracking after you have agreed.

5. Legal Basis & Retention

We process your data on the basis of:

  • Your consent (e.g. for non-essential cookies or marketing).
  • Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (e.g. workshop registration, replying to enquiries).
  • Legitimate interests (e.g. improving the website, security, analytics where permitted).

We keep your data only as long as needed for these purposes or as required by law (e.g. tax and contract retention). Contact data from enquiries are typically retained for a few years unless you ask for earlier deletion.

6. Your Rights (e.g. GDPR/DSGVO)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Have incorrect data corrected.
  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”) where applicable.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Data portability (where applicable).
  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. in Germany: the competent Landesdatenschutzbehörde).

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@paulschulz.org.

7. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, in line with common practice and applicable law.

8. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
